14JAN11 Two important updates for VisiSched 1.67. All known Pertinator grouping problems fixed. All work and none repeat. The VisiSched delimiting datebars now have a third option when you press the 'm' key - they disappear. In horizontal layouts all that text could obfuscate the network itself. Problem solved.

26NOV10 With the version 1.66 release, the entire VisiSched series gets two new and useful features. The first is that, when turned on, the glowlist tasks each get a colored banner with the task description attached to them. It can be difficult to remember where a task of interest is in the space network. By adding a task to the glowlist, you can always see it and see its time relationship to other items in the glowlist. The second feature is a complete redo of the monthbars that used to be down along the bottom "pasture". Now they are also labels with the month/year on them. You no longer have to pick them to know the date. Even years are dark colored, odd years are light colored so you can quickly get a sense of what year you are in along the timeline. Further by hitting the 'm' key they will break free of the "pasture" and float up and follow the camera. In this mode, you can superpose them over a group of tasks and, again, get a sense of what month these tasks occur in. Here is the video. Meanwhile, download the demo.
10NOV10 VisiSched, ClaimEnder and Pertinator have all undergone rapid evolution over the past year. Our downloadable install instructions became a bit outdated and so we have updated them all. Sorry for any confusion you may have experienced.
12SEP10 Minor update to VisiSched for Pertinator to fix the group ordering problem with WBS. Help file also updated to reflect the baseline export oddities noted below.
06SEP10 Important update for Visisched for P6, minor updates for entire ClaimEnder series. VisiSched for P6 can now handle project baselines and primary baselines with aplomb. The data display for the ClaimEnder series has been fixed to eliminate unnecessary refreshing. Note that the VisiSched for P6 and ClaimEnder for P6 require newer (different) extraction reports going forward. Just import them from the VSE1\P6.erps or CE6\P6.erps folder into your P6 reports, delete the old P6 reports and you are good to go. Also the report-generated data files should be named YYMMDDact.csv and YYMMDDrel.csv where YYMMDD is the status date. This allows the same sets of data files to be used by either VisiSched/Pertinator or ClaimEnder! More detail in the help files that come with the program.
Note: There is one particular export oddity with P6 6.0 at least. Baseline exported data changes depending on baseline assignment settings!

26AUG10 Small update 1.63 for VisiSched for P6 and MSP fixing higlighted display of baselines and 'c' key (now writes comments to file).
14AUG10 New update for all platforms of VisiSched/Pertinator (1.62) available now. Find feature greatly improved. When searching for an ID, you are jumped to that ID. Full-featured predecessor/successor listing for picked task by using the F8 key. All relationship data is displayed (type, lag, driving (P3 and P6), name, and dates. You can even jump to the pred/succ of interest! Camera speed set automatically to suit the number of tasks of the schedule (you can still fine tune with Q and S keys). Download a demo today!
15JUL10 Pertinator is plumbed up! Display data bug found and fixed for all editions (v1.6c now). Also fixed task-on-task problem for arrangements 3 and 5. Also eliminated unnecessary data refreshes. Also upgraded all VisiSched editions (1.6c now) to eliminate unnecessary data refreshes.
30JUN10 All VisiSched programs upgraded to 1.6b. Now you have simple user-defined filters for VisiSched also. You just pick whichever activities you want and save them as a named filter. Then, by a simple key toggle, cause all other tasks to instantly disappear and then reappear - ideal for presenting fragnets of interest to others or looking at milestone timeframes. You can create, save and reuse as many filters as you want.
26JUN10 A big day. First, all ClaimEnder platforms upgraded to v1.2d which now has a glowlist toggle, the background color selection persists throughout the session and some internal fixes.
Second, all VisiSched and Pertinator editions upgraded to v1.6a. This brings them current with ClaimEnder for speed, reliability, and nearly all features. Larger screen, better lighting, y-axis now a backstop, Preference button indication when prefs are not at defaults, non-system color weirdness gone, more stable 3D objects for milestones and flags, got rid of list coloring, introduced simple hide/unhide filtering, background color setting persists now through the session, cleaner external ties reporting, removed cycle-eating code from the loop and many internal code improvements.
